Aim and Benefits of Roberta Annan Scholarship

The Scholarship provides full fee remission for the Vogue Fashion Foundation Programme and the BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Industry Practice degree programme for the successful applicant.

Requirements for Roberta Annan Scholarship Qualification

This is a competitive scholarship scheme aiming to support those with the greatest financial need, talent in the relevant subject areas, and future potential. The Roberta Anan Scholarship is open to applications from nationals of the following Sub-Saharan African countries:

Students must be aged at least 18 years old on 1st September at the start of the academic year in which they intend to join this course. An academic year runs 1st September-31st August annually. For the duration of the academic year, a student is considered to be their academic age for admissions purposes, regardless of when their birthday falls within that academic year.

The standard entry requirements for this course are GCSE English and Maths at Grade C (4) or above, or the equivalent international qualifications. This in most cases would be one of the below:

? Senior School Certificate Examination, ? National Senior Certificate, ? National Diploma with higher credits, ? Higher National Diploma with credits

The College is looking for students who will actively contribute to the course and take an original approach to their work and they must have a keen interest in pursuing a career in Fashion Communications.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Roberta Annan Scholarship

Applicants for the scholarship will need to submit the following:

  • A valid passport A copy of a valid passport will need to be submitted
  • Academic Transcripts / Certificates Copies of any qualifications achieved so far to demonstrate that the academic entry requirements have been met
  • Personal Statement Each applicant is asked to provide information about themselves, including their personal details, education history, and any relevant work experience. They will be asked to write a 500-word personal statement describing their academic interests and reasons for applying to the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design, which should include a link to the pre-recorded interview video.
  • Pre-Recorded Interview Video Applicants are required to record a short video interview with a mobile phone, webcam, tablet, or other appropriate devices, and will need to answer the four following questions; the video should be around (but no longer than) 10 minutes.The questions we would like applicants to answer are:
  1. What do you know about Condé Nast College? (2 minutes)
  2. What has motivated you to apply for this course (thinking particularly about future studies and your career journey)? (2 minutes)
  3. What creatives and/or brands in the fashion industry do you most admire and why (3 minutes)
  4. What are the most important issues or trends affecting the fashion industry right now in your opinion? (3 minutes)
  • UKVI-Approved English Test Those who progress to the final stages of this scholarship will need to take a Secure English Language Test (SELT) for UKVI in order to apply for a Student Visa to study in the UK, and achieve an overall CEFR level B1 or above.
