Civil Engineering is one of the best Engineering courses in the field of Engineering because it covers a very wide range of functions. Civil Engineers are much needed in the society due to their job requirements. Civil Engineering is a very sensitive profession because their jobs are tied to lives and properties. A faulty engineering construction could claim lives and properties worth millions of Dollars, hence only passionate individuals are required to apply and study this course.
The admission requirement for studying Civil Engineering in Nigeria is almost the same in all schools except for the JAMB cut off marks. Civil Engineering like other Engineering courses require that a candidate score high in their UTME, good post UTME score and most importantly a very good O’level result.
Talking about the admission requirements for studying Civil Engineering, five (5) requirements are involved, namely:
- Required O’Level subjects
- O’Level and UTME subjects combination
- JAMB or UTME Score of the candidate
- Post UTME Score
- Good aggregate score
Any candidate that can conveniently meet the above admission requirements to the university’s satisfaction, admission into any university be it DELSU, UNIZIK, UNILAG, UNILORIN, UNIBEN UNN and the likes is 100% guaranteed.
Often times we stress the need for the correct WAEC, NECO and UTME subject combination for studying Civil Engineering as a course in our tertiary institutions cannot be overemphasized as candidates tend to ignore the importance of this subject matter thus making it difficult for them to gain admission into the university to study this course.
Making use of the correct and approved WAEC and NECO subject requirements plus JAMB subject combination for Civil Engineering makes the admission process much easier for candidates seeking admission to study Civil Engineering in their various choice of institutions.
Not many are aware that one of the major reason for the increase in purchase of change of course and institution form is because before embarking on the UTME, most candidates fail to confirm the correct WAEC and NECO subjects required to study Civil Engineering and thus making them go through the process of change of course or institution and sometimes, both.
In one of our posts, we harped succinctly on subject combination for WAEC/NECO and JAMB, it would be wise to go through it as this will give candidates better understandings on not just the subject combination for Civil Engineering but other courses as approved by JAMB.
Admission Requirements For Studying Civil Engineering In Nigerian Universities
In this post today, we shall be giving candidates full details as regards the WAEC and NECO otherwise known as O’Level subjects combination and admission requirements for studying Civil Engineering in our universities today.
Civil Engineering covers a wide range and scope as it involves both theory and practical classes.
