Adasa Cookey’s real name is Adasa Rawlinson Cookeygam, and he was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on 21 October 1981. His parents hail from the famous Opobo Kingdom in Rivers State, and he lived all his life in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Adasa Cookey attended the local schools in Port Harcourt for his primary education, and for his secondary education he attended Bereton College and Federal Government College. When it was time for higher education he went to the Rivers State University of Science and Technology.
Adasa Cookey is a very calm and introverted personality; during his youth he must have given the impression of someone who would do well at a desk job; sorting through papers and filing documents.
As a matter of fact, Adasa Cookey did get a desk job when he finished school; he got employment as a customer care representative at a communications company, where he worked for some. He could have easily stayed at that job, in which case he would have job security, a nice car, and a retirement plan. But Adasa Rawlingson Cookeygam wanted more out of life; he wanted something that would enable him contribute to society, and make a difference.
Adasa Cookey resigned his employment as a Customer Care Representative to follow his passion of making videos. That was back in 2010; and of course he had to work his way from the bottom. However, by making good contacts within the industry he was able to secure shoots with some artists who were at that time fast rising as well.
