Achievers University holds supplementary Post-UTME Screening October 5

Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State has invited admission seekers to its supplementary admission screening exercise scheduled to hold on Saturday in Abuja, Lagos, Ibadan, Ado-Ekiti and Owo.

According to Rev. Canon Bayode Oladimeji, Registrar of the University, the exercise is to provide opportunity for those who could not participate in the last exercise or register for the online screening exercise through the University admission portal. “The University’s representatives will be at the screening centres to respond to their inquiries promptly during the exercise,” the Registrar said.

Oladimeji also revealed that the Governing Council has approved 100 percent free tuition scholarship for some undergraduate programmes in the University in the forthcoming 2024/2025 Academic Session.

According to him, the decision was taken to give more opportunity to young Nigerians to access quality education, especially with the economic challenge being faced by Nigerian parents. “The 12 disciplines are Guidance and Counselling, Library and Information Science, Chemistry Education, Biology Education, Sociology, Procurement Management, Economics, Banking and Finance, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Plant Science and Biotechnology, Remote Sensing and Geoscience Information System, and Health Information Management,” he said. He added that the Council of the University has also approved between 65 percent and 90 percent tuition-free scholarships in 20 other programmes being run by the University. Achievers University, which is first private University in Ondo and Ekiti states, was established in December 2007. It admitted its first set in the 2007/2008 academic session and has graduated 13 sets of students who are doing well in both public and private sectors of the economy as well as outside the shores of the country. It currently runs 38 programmes in its six colleges and five faculties of Medicine, Health Sciences, Law, Engineering and Technology, Social and Management Sciences, Natural and Applied Sciences, Nursing Science, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science, Basic Medical Sciences and Allied Health Sciences
