ACCA Syllabus For 2024

The ACCA syllabus consists of 14 papers divided into four groups and three levels:

  • Knowledge – Three papers
  • Skills – Six papers
  • Essentials – Three papers
  • Options – Two papers from four

Usually, as an Accounting graduate aspiring yo become chartered, you would be exempted from F1, F2, F3 and F4 (Knowledge Level) reason is because it is assumed you have basic knowledge of courses you are being exempted from and you will be required to start from F5 which is referred to as the Skilled level.

As for Non accounting graduates, you are expected to start from the scratch unlike the Accounting graduates, the non-accounting graduates are assumed not to have basic knowledge of F1, F2, F3  and F4.

ACCA Exam Regulations

i) All modules must be sat in order

ii) Maximum of four ACCA papers to be taken in one sitting

iii) Papers within a module may be sat in any order but ACCA recommends that they should be sat in numerical order

iv) ACCA papers from a variety of levels may be sat at any one time. i.e. Knowledge and Skills or Skills and Essentials

v) The three Essentials papers do not have to be sat together

vi) Students have 10 years to pass all the examinations

vii) The pass mark for all examinations is 50%

In addition to the above 14 ACCA papers, students are required to study and sit an online module in Professional ethics. It is recommended that this is studied at the same time as P1
