ABUAD Produces 65 First Class As 736 Students Graduate

Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) during its 3rd Convocation Ceremony graduated no fewer than 736 students.

It was gathered that 65 of the graduating students bagged first class degrees, 339 made Second Class (Upper Division), 258 graduated with Second Class (Lower Division) while 74 made Third Class.

During the ceremony, the the Founder and Chancellor of ABUAD, Aare Afe Babalola, urged well-to-do Nigerians to invest in quality education for Nigerians, describing the sector as a very "serious and expensive exercise".

former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega; former Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offence Commission (ICPC), Justice Emmanuel Ayoola, Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Rev. Matthew Kukah and the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi were among those bestwed with honorary degrees.
