ABU-SRC inaugurates COVID-19 task force

The Ahmadu Bello University Students Representative Council (ABU-SRC) has inaugurated 101 sub committee members on Covid-19. The members who came from different departments and hostels will assist the council in implementing the protocols of the novel Covid19 virus within the 2 campuses.

While welcoming the members, the chairman of the ABU-SRC presidential task force on COVID-19 and the secretary General of the council, comrade Khalifa Kabir urged the committee members to seize the golden opportunity and mandate given to them to help curtail the spread of the virus by ensuring that the guidelines of Kaduna state Task Force and presidential task force are maintained.

The president of the council said they can't afford to see the institution shut down again and as such, they found it mandatory to contribute their own quota. "It is part of our inclusiveness policy that if we are governing ABUsites, they should have the privilege to partake and champion their own affairs. That's why we all have you today. We believe that you are going to give your all in this course." The president said.

Mr. Sadiq made it clear that these are challenging times for the school and as time have it, we are in new normal.

The presidential task force said it will distribute 10,000 face masks and sanitizers across faculties and hostels as the start

The task force committee members were sworn in by Barrister Sadiq Shehe, the council's financial secretary.
