According to a statement signed by it's president Dr. Uzo Adirieje, the Abia State University Alumni Association Abuja (ABSUAAA) says it is working on mobilising funds to sponsor the training of its members who are either unemployed, under-employed or career-seeking.

It stated that the resources would be generated from the launch of its Abia State University (ABSU) Alumni Graduates Skills and Professional Development Advancement programme.

The statement further said the association would also honour its members during the 2013 dinner which will hold on Dec. 7 in Abuja.

"The association will use the occasion to inaugurate its elders’ forum and induct the first set its 19 elders,’’ it stated.

The statement also said those to be inducted into the elders forum include Anyim, Wogu, Odom, Chris Okewulonu, Uzoma Nwosu and Mr Greune Anosike.

"Others are Raymond Nkemdirim, Mr Geoffery Oputa, Mrs Chioma Umeh, Dr Geff Ojinika, among others,’’ he said.
