ABSU summons parents over the flamboyant lifestyle of students on campus

The management of the Abia State University, Uturu, has invited parents and guardians of students of the state-owned university to a town hall meeting over the flamboyant and ostentatious display of wealth by students.

This was contained in a statement signed by the school’s registrar, Acho Elendu, on Friday, Feb 4, 2022. According to the statement, the town hall meeting is scheduled to be held at the Auditorium of the university on Thursday, February 10, 2022, by 11 am.

The statement reads in part;

It will be expedient for all parents and guardians to attend, as crucial decisions would be taken in the interest of their children, wares and the University.

“All COVID-19 protocols will be strictly observed. All should be seated by 10.30 am.”

This follows the decision of the university to ban students from using personal vehicles on campus due to the alleged flamboyant lifestyle of some of the students.
