In view of the meeting between the Students Union Government and the ABSU park chairman, Chairmen bus drivers association/representatives Umuahia, Aba and Okigwe.
Transportation fare has been reduced as follows:
From ABSU to Omewe (Town) and vice versa has been normalized from #150 to 100
Fram ABSU to Uturu and vice-versa has been normalited from #100 to #50
From ABSU to Umuahia (3 persons per seat) has been normalized from #800 to #500.
From ABSU to Aba (3 persons per seat) has been normalized from #1500 to #1000
We plead with the Covid-19 taskforce committee and other security agencies to grant pass to buses conveying ABSU Students, carrying 3 passengers per seat; to accommodate student's price and welfare as we promise to adhere strictly to othier covid-19 protocols.
This reduction takes effect from Monday January 25 2021. Students are advised to adhere to this reduction and remain calm as negotiations are ongoing for further reduction in transportation fare.
