The management of Abia State University has published a revised academic calendar for the 2016/2017 academic session.

The break down of academic activities is as indicated below;

April, 2017

Saturday, 1st-University re-opens for the Second Semester 2016/2017 Session and all students return.

Monday, 3rd- Fee payment and course registration commence.

Monday, 10th - Lectures for Second Semester 2016/2017 Session commence.

August, 2017

Friday, 4th-Lectures for Second Semester 2016/2017 Session end.

Monday, 7th-Revision classes begin.

Friday, 11th-Revision classes end.

Monday, 14th-Second Semester 2016/2017 Examinations commence.

September, 2017

Friday, 8th-Second Semester, 2016/2017 Examinations end.

Saturday, 9th-Students proceed on end-of-session vacation

Lecture Period     –        15 weeks

Revision Period    –        1 week

Examination Period   –   4 weeks

Total -     21 weeks
