ABSU postpones resumption of academic activities

The Governing Council and Management of Abia State University, hereby express gratitude to the Governor of Abia State and Visitor to Abia State University, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph.D for his prompt intervention in addressing the welfare needs of Students of the University.

Following this development, the Students, Parents and Guardians are to note as follows:

1. That the earlier announced Resumption date of Monday, 9h November, 2020, to complete the First Semester of 2019/2020 Academic Session, has been put on hold, till further notice.

2. Parents and Guardians of our dear Students are assured that efforts will be intensified towards providing healthy and safe environment, in line with the NCDC protocol requirements and to create conducive environment suitable for academic activities for their children and wards, preparatory to their return.

3. The University is aware of the fact that our Students are anxious to return to Campus to resume academic activities, in order not to waste the 2019/2020 Academic Session and assures them that academic activities will soon resume.

4. Bona-fide Students of the University are hereby advised not to be misguided by extraneous influences to de-market their highly rated Institution whose ranking in the comity of Universities in Nigeria has greatly improved.
