AAUA Lecturer Becomes the 1st CLS Ph.D graduate in Malaysia

A lecturer in the Department of Linguistics and Languages, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria, Dr. Boluwaji Oshodi, has set a record of becoming the first Ph.D. graduate and winning the inaugural award for the best postgraduate presentation of the Centre for Language Studies, CLS, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, UNIMAS.

In a statement, the UNIMAS Deputy Dean, Postgraduate and Research, Florence Gillian Kayad, congratulated Dr. Oshodi on the successful completion of his postgraduate programme.

Kayad added, “I also wish to commend you for being a worthy ambassador, an outstanding and exemplary student who laid a solid foundation for current and prospective postgraduate students at the Centre.”

In congratulatory message, the AAUA Registrar, Mr. Bamidele Olotu, through the Principal Assistant Registrar (Personnel Division), Mrs. Ajoke Araoyinbo, on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Femi Mimiko, congratulated Dr. Oshodi on the feat and for doing AAUA proud, saying, “You have proved yourself as an academic that can interface with other academics anywhere in the world.”
