AAU notice to newly admitted students on mandatory short online certificate courses

In order to improve the academic culture, enhance capacity building and introduce online learning methods for students of Ambrose Alli University in line with global best practices, the Senate of the Ambrose Alli University at its 319th regular meeting approved the commencement of the Short online certificate course program also referred to as e-studies (e-ST) as part of the training process for Students of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma effective from March 1st, 2022.

As part of the students' orientation process, all newly admitted students are required to visit the e-learning portal of the University (aauekpoma.dexuni.com) to enroll for the course(s) of their choice while awaiting resumption on campus. This is mandatory.

The List of the e-ST courses are into three categories:

  1. Soft skill courses
  2. IT/Software courses
  3. Professional courses

The details of the various courses in each category and the course curriculum are available on the e-learning portal (aauekpoma.dexuni.com).

The Senate also approved the following registration fees for the e-ST courses as follows:

  1. A fee of ten thousand (N10,000:00) only for students enrolling only one (1) of the short online certificate courses.
  2. A fee of five thousand naira (N5,000:00) only  per course for students offering more than one of the short online certificate courses.

All payments are to be made on the e-learning portal.

An e-certificate will be issued on successful completion of any course. The e-certificate will be required for subsequent post admission processes and documentation.

The University administration will continue to ensure that students of this great University get the requisite skills and training for their future endeavors.
