A Nigerian, Mr Muyiwa Bamgbose, has been rated world’s 9th best innovator in electronic learning. This was contained in the latest rating of an agency, Bob Little Public Relations, which is based in the United Kingdom.
According to the rating, the Nigerian educationist has joined the league of World’s best 10 shakers and movers in e-learning for the second time.
In the previous ratings conducted last year, he was said to have rated 10th in the world.
Bamgbose, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Educational Advancement Centre (EAC), Ibadan, invented the electronic learning method that delivers contents of subjects to mobile telephones of candidates preparing for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).
Bamgbose, said, the aim of the examination was to help government determine who is actually prepared for the examination and enjoy the free payment for the examination by the government.
The mock examination also helps schools, government and teachers identify the volume of work that needs to be done nine months before the time of the examination.
The List of the candidates according to their position is, Elliott Masie. Head of The MASIE Center, a Saratoga Springs, New York, Jay Cross, a writer, commentator and speaker, Fabrizio Cardinali, CEO of exact Learning Solutions’ North America and Australia operations and Cathy Moore. The fifth person is Roger Schank, the President and CEO of Socratic Arts, Tom Kuhlmann, A blogger and host of The Rapid E-Learning Blog, Anne Forster (Forster and Gibson), one of Australia’s foremost independent e-learning consultants, Massood Zarrabian, CEO of Boston, MA, based LCMS providers OutStart, and Muyiwa Bamgbose, the CEO of Nigeria’s Educational Advancement Center (EAC).
