Respite has come for 99-year-old Nagari College in Birnin-Kebbi, as former students are working to address the deplorable state of the school.
The Old Boys Association, which includes the current deputy governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Ibrahim K. Aliyu, at the weekend in Birnin Kebbi set up a seven man committee to look into the situation. In a communiqué issued at the end of a two-day general meeting headed by the Kebbi State deputy governor and signed by the chairman local organizing committee, Abubakari Bawa Bagudo in Birnin Kebbi, the former students expressed dismay over what they described as the bad condition of the college.
"The infrastructure have generally decayed, all its facilities such as hostels, classes, conveniences are not only grossly inadequate, but also in sad state of dilapidation", the communique stated.
