The 2022 International Scholarships in Understanding Nonresponse in Surveys is awarded to individuals who is interested in pursuing a scholarship opportunity at the University of Groningen.
The Scholarship contract is worth €2,249 per month (gross) , and its offered for four years. A successful candidate will first be offered a temporary contract of one year with the option of renewal for another three years.

Eligibility: The PhD student is expected to:
• have a master or research master degree in for example social sciences, communication science or data science
• have had a thorough training in qualitative and quantitative research skills
• formulate a short research proposal before the start of the project, and develop this further together with the research team in the first six months of the research project
• have affinity with survey research methodology
• have a good command of spoken and written English (C1) and preferably Dutch (B1)
• be able to finish the PhD thesis in four years
• be able to show perseverance, flexibility, and have organizational and collaboration skills
• enjoy planning, taking initiatives, and academic writing
• be able and willing to work in Groningen.
