The Macquarie University provides a partial tuition fee scholarship for outstanding female students from certain African countries. This scholarship is introduced to support those who share the passion to study in the area of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, our elite and highly ranked programs at Macquarie University.

Eligible Countries: Applicants from sub-Saharan African countries Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic Chad, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, The Gambia Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe are eligible.

Eligible Field of Studies: Applicants can apply for any undergraduate and postgraduate programme in the areas of science, mathematics, technology, and engineering.
Eligibility: To be eligible, applicants must;
- have applied to and be accepted in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme at MU.
- have completed a minimum of 12 years of schooling to be admitted at MU.
- attain minimum scores in the following English language proficiency tests:
- IELT – 6.5
- TOEFL-iBT – 83
- PTE Academic – 58
- Duolingo – 115

To be considered for this scholarship applicants are required to complete a nomination form and hold a valid offer letter to study at Macquarie University. As part of the application form you must:
- Enter your student number as outlined on your Macquarie University Offer Letter.
- Submit an application form and type “African Women STEM” in the Scholarship Name field.
- Upon receipt of the scholarship application, students will be contacted with further details on submitting a selfie video as part of the assessment process.
