The coordinator of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Lagos state, Mr. Sunday Aladegbaye, stated that the 2017 UTME Will Be Hitch Free; that the hitches experienced by some candidates during the 2016 Unified tertiary matriculation examination (UTME) will not repeat it self during 2017 UTME.
He said this at the Parents’ Forum organised by the Management of the King’s College in Lagos.
According to him, the board has taken measures to ensure that only well equipped accredited centres will be used for 2017 UTME.
He mentioned that issues such as malfunctioning of computers and epileptic power supply which characterized 2016 UTME will not occur in 2017.
He equally stated that as a parent, he will not want to do anything that will compromise the future of his children which is why the board will not compromise in terms of standard in the accreditation of CBT centres that will be used in 2017 UTME.
“Where we find missing gap, we dropped such centres immediately and those that meet requirements, we recommend them to management.
“We will continue to insist on accreditation of well-equipped centres; no more, no less.” He stated.
He further emphasized again the the registration for 2017 Unified tertiary matriculation examination (UTME) will commenced before the end of March, 2017 and advised candidates to fall victim to fraudsters claiming that registration has already commenced thereby selling fake registration documents to candidates.
