A letter of inquiry is a letter written to inquire about something you are interested in learning more about. Not everyone knows everything, and there are times when we need to learn about things we do not know or would like to learn about. A professional way to do this is to write letters of inquiry.
When writing an inquiry letter, you must follow the format of a formal letter, which means you must begin with the sender’s address and then the date on which the letter is being written, as with all formal letters. The recipient’s address follows, followed by the subject, which states the letter’s purpose. After that, you write the salutation and the body of the letter, which explains what you want to know. You can finish the letter with a complimentary closing, your signature, and your name.
